Susan Polgar Foundation Tournaments List of Donors and Supporters Shop now at the Susan Polgar Store

The annual Susan Polgar National Open Championship for Girls is a nationwide event that showcases many of the finest young female chess talents in the United States. This prestigious tournament is created and sponsored by Susan Polgar and the Susan Polgar Foundation to give more opportunities to top young female chess players in the United States. This event also includes a Blitz and Puzzle Solving Championship. In 2007 the event expands with the Susan Polgar National Chess Challenge for Boys (also in four section K-2, 3-5, 6-9 Grades and Open for all ages). The top finishers will receive Scholarships, Trophies and other special prizes based on individual scores as well as School, Club or Family Team results.

The 1st Annual Event for Girls was held from January 27th - 29th, 2006 in Corpus Christi, Texas in the beautiful Ramada Inn Bayfront Hotel and Convention Center.
